SEDCO Holding’s Riyali Financial Literacy Program (“Riyali”) won two silver awards at the Gulf Sustainability Awards in Best Community Development Initiative and Best Learning and Educational Program categories.

These awards come in recognition of the Riyali Program’s contribution to the development of the Saudi community and its efforts to educate youth about the importance of financial awareness in their lives. SEDCO Holding representative team received the award during a special celebration held at Conrad Dubai Hotel on 25 October.

Established in 2012, Riyali Financial Literacy Program is one of the most important programs launched by SEDCO Holding as part of its social initiatives. Riyali is aimed at elevating financial awareness and providing the Saudi community, especially the youth, with the necessary basics and financial tools to develop their skills to enhance their readiness for the future and thus educate society as a whole to make sound financial and investment decisions.

To date, the financial literacy program has amassed over 1.8 million beneficiaries including youth and entrepreneurs.  With a goal to reach 3 million beneficiaries by the end of 2024, Riyali aspires to continue expanding its reach and positively influencing members of society, as well as helping empower the youth in the Kingdom to make decisions that set them on the right course towards financial resilience and well-being.

The Gulf Sustainability Awards is an annual high-level event organized by Awards International to recognize and reward companies and organizations across the Middle East for applying best social and corporate sustainability practices. This year’s awards recognize institutions’ and companies’ efforts and societal contributions by presenting awards covering 14 different categories, including sustainability awareness and community development initiatives. Each category was evaluated by a panel of independent experts from across the region.
