Al Mahmal Development Co. is a property manager and developer established in 2004 to manage Al Mahmal Shopping Center in Jeddah. The shopping mall, which opened in 1987, is 80% owned by SEDCO Holding. The busy shopping center is one of the city’s best-known landmarks

Standing in the heart of downtown Jeddah, Al Mahmal Shopping Center offers around 145 shops, 51 kiosks, 19 stands and a food court, with a leasable area of 12,000 m2 spread over seven stories. The mall aims to provide a one-stop destination for lifestyle, fashion and food, and offers a family-friendly international experience.

The retail destination’s popularity has led to a 100% tenancy occupancy rate, with Al Mahmal Development Co. designing a new tenant mix plan to diversify offerings and attract visitors.

Al Mahmal Development Co.’s operations span two main streams – leasing and managing the seven-story shopping center; and operating the connected Al Mahmal Parking building.

Al Mahmal Development is currently repositioning and remerchandising Al Mahmal Center to refresh its product mix and drive revenue increases. A new strategy is in place, and will be implemented in phases over the next years.
