Nasr City Hospital opened in April, accommodating 170 beds and 220 outpatient clinics.
Dar Al Fouad Hospital is a tertiary healthcare institution that specializes in cardiology, cardio-thoracic surgery, and organ transplants. It is headquartered in Cairo, where it operates a 142-bed hospital, and also has outpatient clinics in Kuwait. SEDCO Holding Company has a 25.8 percent stake in the concern, making it Dar Al Fouad’s second largest shareholder.
Dar Al Fouad Hospital was the first healthcare provider in Egypt to be accredited by the Joint Commission International, considered the global ‘gold standard’ of healthcare quality. Dar Al Fouad is now expanding to cater for rising demand for its services – with bone marrow transplants, orthopaedic surgeries and outpatient visits all increasing year on year.
The success of its first facility has seen the brand invest resources in its second – Nasr City Hospital. The Cairo-based facility accommodates 168 beds and comprises three basement levels, ground floor and an eight-storey tower. The structure makes room for a five-star hospital with 5 operating theatres and 200 physician clinics.
The brand has its own in-house DAFH Training Centre that builds staff capabilities to world-class standards. The centre opens up access to non-degree educational opportunities and training programs benchmarked to international standards.
Dar Al Fouad is also innovating a competitive pricing model to keep care affordable. It is developing tailored market channels to access sports clubs, syndicate members, and nearby residents to increase its customer base, and is offering promotional incentives on examination fee, labs and scanning services.
With its brand gaining rapid traction in the city of Cairo thanks to its exceptional customer service and excellent patient outcomes, Dar Al Fouad is now reaching out to an Egypt-wide audience.
