Yaser Bin Mahfouz

Yaser Bin Mahfouz

Chairman

Yaser Bin Mahfouz is a Board member at SEDCO Holding since 2018. He is also a board member of Methak Holding company, as well as being a member of the investment committee in SEDCO Holding، in addition to being a director of the board and the Chairman of the Investment Committee in “Albir Society Jeddah”.     Mr. Yaser has over 15 years of global investment experience, acquired at many international investment companies.     Mr. Yaser holds Master degrees in Financial Markets and Derivatives from London Metropolitan University as well as in Property Valuation and Law from Cass Business School, City University, London. After graduating from Clark University in Business Management in 2000.
Abdelelah Salem Bin Mahfouz

Abdelelah Salem Bin Mahfouz

Vice Chairman

Abdelelah Salem Bin Mahfouz is a the vice chairman for SEDCO Holding and SEDCO Capital.   Mr. Abdelelah began his career in 1975 with NCB, and from 1980 to 1990 was Deputy General Manager and Regional Manager for Riyadh. He joined SEDCO as Managing Director of SEDCO Financial Investments Group between 1997 and 2006, and chaired SEDCO Capital from its formation in 2010 until 2017.   Mr. Abdelelah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Ohio State University.
Abdulraouf M. A. Mannaa

Abdulraouf M. A. Mannaa

Board Director

Abdulraouf Mannaa has been a non-executive Director of SEDCO since 2015. He has more than 25 years business experience in the Middle East, and has helped establish several new ventures through mergers, acquisitions and partnerships.   Dr. Mannaa held several senior positions at Savola – including Managing Director and CEO from 2010 to 2014. He currently advises and serves on the boards of a number of leading corporations.   Dr. Mannaa holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle, USA, a Master’s in Engineering from the University of California, USA, and a BSc from King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia.
Sameer Baarma

Sameer Baarma

Board Director

Sameer Baarma is a board member at SEDCO Holding since 2024. He is also the founder of ‘Sameer M. Baarma Est.’ and is a partner at Diyar Alkhayyal Real Estate Development. With a proven track record in driving business growth and expertise in the financial sector, Mr. Baarma has held senior executive positions at the National Commercial Bank and Saudi American Bank. He also served on the board of Dar Al Fouad Hospital and Saudi Industrial Gases Company Ltd.
Simon Palethorpe

Simon Palethorpe

Board Director

Simon Palethorpe has been a non-executive Director of SEDCO Holding since 2018. He has more than 30 years’ experience in general management, private equity, management consulting, supply chain, marketing and sales across a variety of sectors. Mr. Palethorpe is currently President of Carnival UK, the operator of Cunard Line and P&O Cruises. Mr. Palethorpe worked at a number of other international companies, including PepsiCo, Terra Firma Capital Partners, John Lewis and Avis Europe. Mr. Palethorpe holds an MA and BA in Engineering, Economics and Management from Pembroke College, Oxford University, UK.
Dr. Zeyad bin Othman AlHekail

Dr. Zeyad bin Othman AlHekail

Board Director

Dr. Zeyad bin Othman Alhekail is a Non-Executive Director at SEDCO Holding. He is an expert in strategic planning, investments, project restructuring and corporate governance. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for several companies, including Bank Albilad, Advanced Communications and Electronics systems  Company,  Knowledge connect Company, and others.    Previously, Dr. Alhekail has served as the CEO of Awqaf Sulaiman Al-Rajhi Holding Company and the Advanced Educational Company. He has also worked as faculty member, dean of admission and  deputy rector at King Saud University.   He holds a PhD and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from King Saud University.
Ghazal Binmahfouz

Ghazal Binmahfouz is a board member at SEDCO Holding since 2024 and the first female to join SEDCO board. She is also a board member at Salem Binmahfouz Foundation, Alwan Foundation, Nama Foundation, Almehwar Holding Company, and The National Center of Family Business; she also provides strategic oversight as an observer in SEDCO Capital board. Ms. Ghazal brings extensive experience in leadership and governance within the financial sector, she held several senior leadership roles, including Chair of the Shareholders Advisory Council and Chair of the Family Board Recruitment Committee. Ms. Ghazal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems, an MBA specializing in Islamic Finance, and a Shariah Consultant Fellowship.

Badr Binmahfouz is a board member at SEDCO Holding since 2024. He also serves on the board of Methak Holding and Yasoud Trading Company. With extensive expertise in business management and investments, Mr. Badr offers strategic insights to drive business growth and enhance operational efficiency. He serves as the General Manager and Executive Manager of Yasoud Trading Company. Mr. Binmahfouz holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Suffolk University in Boston, USA, and has completed an Executive Program in Machine Learning in Finance from Imperial College, London. 
Matthew Eyton-Jones

Matthew Eyton-Jones

Board Director

Matthew Eyton-Jones is a member of the SEDCO Holding Board of Directors, the Audit and Risk Committee, and the Executive and Investment Committee; bringing a 25-year track record of executive leadership and institutional investing.   Matthew has worked for some of the world’s leading financial services firms including Mercer Consulting, Bank of America, and Goldman Sachs where he has managed and advised large asset owners in over 17 countries, with broad and deep experience across global markets and the entire range of liquid and illiquid asset classes.   Between 2015 and 2021 Matthew served as CEO of the USD5 billion CERN Pension Fund at the European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneva, Switzerland. In 2017, he was ranked number 6 in the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute Public Investor 100 Rankings of the most significant and impactful public investor executives, and in 2019 under his leadership the CERN Pension Fund was awarded the Best Pension Fund Governance in Europe by Capital Finance International.   A graduate of both the Advanced Leadership Programme and the General Management Programme at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge and of the Investment Management Programme at London Business School, Matthew is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (Chartered FCSI) and a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Pensions Management Institute.   Matthew is a member of the World Economic Forum Expert Community, a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. He has also served as Chairman of the Hong Kong Business Network, a member of the Alumni Council at Cambridge Judge Business School, as a board member at Villiers Park Educational Trust, and a member of the Integrity Committee at the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Rayyan Nagadi

Rayyan Nagadi became CEO of SEDCO Holding Group in December 2021. He brings more than 22 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, leading mega projects in banking, public utilities, petrochemicals, infrastructure and building materials.   Prior to joining SEDCO Holding, Rayyan was the CEO of the National Center for Privatization & PPP where he played a vital role in developing the privatization institutional framework, laws, and regularly coordinating with government and semi-government agencies to promote public-private partnerships (PPP). Moreover, Rayyan was advisor to H.E the Minister of Finance and serves on the boards and executive committees of several companies and the CMA advisory committee.   Rayyan holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
Tharwat Amer

Chief Financial Officer

Tharwat Amer joined SEDCO Holding in 2016. He has more than 22 years of experience in corporate finance, investment management, and financial management across multiple industries.   Mr. Amer began his career by qualifying as a Certified Public Accountant in Chicago, USA, and then worked for PwC and IBM. Before joining SEDCO, he worked with several leading companies as CFO, Director, and Audit Committee member. These include Jadwa Investment, where he was CFO for eight years and a founding member of the executive team, overseeing the firm’s growth from a small startup to a regional leader in private equity and asset management.   Mr. Amer holds an MBA from Strayer University in the USA, with post-graduate studies involving e-commerce, strategy and leadership courses from world-class institutions. He has completed an executive Leadership Program at Stanford University, USA. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (2004), and a Certified Public Accountant (1996).
Ossama A. Banaja

Ossama A. Banaja

Chief Direct Investments Officer

Ossama Banaja joined SEDCO Holding in 2021 as Chief Direct Investments Officer. He has 16 years of experience in private equity and investment banking, during which time he has managed a variety of principal investments and served in several strategic roles. Most recently, Ossama was the Director of Local Holdings Investments at the Public Investment Fund (PIF), where he was responsible for developing greenfield investment strategies in new sectors within KSA. Prior to joining PIF, Ossama was Vice President of Private Equity at Jadwa Investment, where he led multiple transactions and post-acquisition value creation programs for private equity funds. Prior to that, he worked at Partners Group as AVP of Private Equity, where he led the due diligence for multiple co-investment deals.    Ossama is currently serving on multiple boards and executive committees, including Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), National Unified Procurement Company (NUPCO), Pharmaceuticals Investment Company, Uptown Jeddah Company, Red Sea Cruise Company, and Noon (e-commerce).   Ossama holds an MBA from New York University.
Sherif Selim

Sherif Selim

Chief Real Estate Officer

Sherif Selim has more than 25 years of Investment Management, Business Development, Strategic Planning and Global and regional Real Estate Experience. Currently, he is Chief Real Estate Officer in SEDCO Holding, managing the group's regional RE portfolio and RE Portfolio companies. In his role, Selim is responsible for new investments as well as repositioning and growing the portfolio, utilizing his experience in real estate, private equity, infrastructure, and venture capital.

 

Before joining SEDCO Capital, Selim served as Chief Investment Officer at AWJ Holding Company and was responsible for leading the Investment Department. Throughout his career, Selim has held senior leadership roles in prominent Saudi-based investment firms, including Mohammed Alsubeaei & Sons Investments Company (MASIC), SEDCO Capital, Alkhabeer Capital, Invest AD (Abu Dhabi Investment Company) and National Australia Bank.

 

Sherif is currently board and nomination & remuneration committee member of AZAD Properties.

 

Selim obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Richmond University in the United Kingdom.

Alauddin Bakri

Vice President, Human Resources

Alauddin Bakri is the VP of Human Resources at SEDCO Holding. He has over 14 years of experience across different HR functions including Compensation & Benefits, Recruitment, and Organization Development. He has also designed and deployed Total Rewards strategies in SEDCO Holding and several subsidiaries. He served as the HR Business Partner to SEDCO Capital for 8 years, and is currently a member of the Compensation and Nomination Committee (CNC) of Methak Holding. He has been serving as an observer in SEDCO Holding & SEDCO Capital CNC since 2017.   Alauddin holds a Bachelor’s degree in MIS from Concordia University, and is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) from WorldatWork.
Ibrahim Ajlan

Ibrahim Ajlan

Vice President, Information Technology

Ibrahim Ajlan is the VP for Information Technology at SEDCO Holding. He has been part of the SEDCO team since 2008 and has served in a number of roles — the most recent being the IT AVP and Head of Digital Transformation and Information Security. He has been instrumental in laying the framework for SEDCO Holding’s digital transformation, business continuity, and cyber security programs. He has also been responsible for the virtual office and digital workplace infrastructure that enabled the company to seamlessly move to remote working. In addition, Mr. Ajlan oversees the digital transformation initiatives for SEDCO’s operating companies.   Mr. Ajlan holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of South Florida. He also has qualifications from the MIT Sloan School of Management, IMD, Crestcom, PMI and InfoSec.
Magid Ali

Magid Ali

Vice President, Legal Affairs

Magid Ali is the Vice President of Legal Affairs at SEDCO Holding. He brings three decades of diversified legal experience to his role.   He has previously served as Group Chief Legal Officer at SRG in Dammam, and before that at the law firm of Salah Al-Hejailan in association with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and at Arthur & Andersen Co. in Riyadh. At various points in his career, he has practiced extensively in civil, criminal, Shariah, corporate and commercial law. He has also worked extensively in trademark and IP protection law. Earlier in his career, he provided legal advice to asylum seekers in the UK, working with refugee councils to serve the community.    He holds a Master of Law from Oxford Brookes University in the UK, and also an LLM from Cairo University.
Abdulrahman Al Turjuman

Abdulrahman Al Turjuman

Vice President, Corporate Communications & Sustainability

Abdulrahman AlTurjuman is the Vice President of Corporate Communications & Sustainability, having joined SEDCO Holding in 2010. He previously worked in communications at Bank Aljazira and account management at Full Stop Advertising.   Throughout his career, Mr. AlTurjuman has been dedicated to fostering financial literacy among the youth. In 2012, he co-developed SEDCO’s Riyali program, a strategic CSR program focused on teaching young Saudis about financial literacy. Riyali has since become a national initiative through SEDCO’s partnership with the Ministry of Education and is expected to reach its goal of two million beneficiaries by 2020.   Mr. AlTurjuman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, and an Executive MBA from London Business School, UK.
Adnan Karshe

Adnan Karshe

Vice President, Internal Audit

Adnan Karshe is Vice President, Internal Audit at SEDCO Holding.   He brings over thirteen years of experience to his role, across a career where he has worked with government, healthcare, commercial, manufacturing, aviation and real estate organizations.   Mr. Karshe’s expertise includes internal audit transformations and infrastructure, risk assessment, compliance, and corporate governance.   He is SME in Operational Audit and serves on the Audit Committees for group operating companies.   He is a Certified Internal Control Auditor and holds a Bachelor of Computer Application from Bangalore University, India.

Audit and Risk Committee (ARC)

Assists the Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities in the areas of: financial reporting integrity; effectiveness of internal controls for financial reporting; surveillance of administration and financial practices; SEDCO Group’s compliance with group policies and procedures; legal and regulatory requirements; ensuring independence and monitoring performance of external auditors, internal audit function; and risk management.

Shariah Advisory Committee

The Committee will review relevant SEDCO Holding governance documents regularly to make sure it stays in line with Shariah guidance and meets the expectations of shareholders and the strategic objectives. It will also ensure that SEDCO remains at the forefront of Shariah matters relevant to the investment products and developments.
