Saleh Salem Bin Mahfouz


In addition to chairing SEDCO Holding Group’s Board, Mr. Saleh Bin Mahfouz is Chairman of SEDCO Development, Nahdi Medical Company, Al Mahmal Real Estate Development Company, Al Mahmal Trading Company, and Red Sea Markets Company. He also chairs the Board’s Investment Committee and serves on the boards of Al-Balad Al Ameen for Development and Urban Recreation, Alnumu Real Estate, and Yanbu Cement. Mr. Saleh graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran.

Abdelelah Salem Bin Mahfouz


Mr. Abdelelah Bin Mahfouz was Managing Director of SEDCO Financial Investments Group from 1997 to 2006. He is now a Board member at SEDCO Holding Group, and has also been serving as Chairman of SEDCO Capital since its formation in 2010. He began his business career in 1975 with the National Commercial Bank, and from 1980-1990 was the bank’s Deputy General Manager and the Riyadh Regional Manager. Mr. Abdelelah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University.

Ahmed Salem Bin Mahfouz


Mr. Ahmed Bin Mahfouz began his career with SEDCO in 1982, and served as Managing Director of the Direct Investments Group between 1997 and 2004. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah and is also a graduate of the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Ahmed Sulaiman Banaja


Mr. Ahmed Suleiman Banaja has been a Member of the Board at SEDCO Holding Group since 2008. He is a Director of SEDCO Capital, and was the company’s first CEO who also oversaw the company’s formation in 2010. He has also served as the CEO of SEDCO between 2008 and 2010. He began his career with Citibank in 1971, and has held senior positions at the National Commercial Bank for 12 years. He has also served as Executive Vice President of Olayan Group, and Board Member of many of the Group’s subsidiaries. Mr. Banaja’s track record includes him serving as Chairman of the publicly listed National Shipping Company, and as a member of the Economic Advisory Board to the Supreme Economic Council for the Saudi Government. He is currently a Director of Al Faisaliah Group and has since 2014 returned to the Board of Directors at the SABB, formerly the Saudi British Bank. He is also Chairman of the bank’s Audit Committee. Mr. Banaja holds a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Kent.

Savio Tung


Mr. Tung has been a Non-Executive Director of SEDCO since 2009, where he currently chairs the Audit and Risk Committee. He is a founding partner at Investcorp, where he currently serves as Senior Advisor as well as Chairman of Investcorp Technology Partners. His 30 years with the firm have seen him involved with most of Investcorp’s corporate buyouts. Before joining Investcorp, he worked with Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, and London. Mr. Tung is also on the Board of Tech Data Corporation and is an independent non-executive Director of Bank of China, Hong Kong. Mr. Tung holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University, and is also a trustee emeritus of the institution.

Abdulraouf M. A. Mannaa


Dr. Abdulraouf Mohammad A. Mannaa has 25 years of diverse experience in Middle Eastern and GCC markets. He has deep insight into the Middle Eastern business environment, and keeps his knowledge up to date through constant market intelligence gathering and far-reaching relations with contemporaries across public, private and financial sectors. Dr. Mannaa was involved in leading the Savola Group to becoming one of the Middle East’s prominent business entities with operations spanning the region. Dr. Mannaa currently advises a leading group of companies active in many diverse sectors, and also serves on the boards of a number of companies. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington at Seattle, a Master in Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science from King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals.

Hasan Al Jabri

Chief Executive Officer

Hasan Al Jabri became the CEO of SEDCO Holding Group in April 2018. He joined the Group in 2010 as the CEO of SEDCO Capital and has over 33 years of banking experience in the GCC region, managing senior positions in leading banks including The National Commercial Bank & Samba Financial Group. Mr. Al Jabri was also NCBC board member, Managing Director, and head of Investment Banking, he also served as Chairman of the Funds Board covering all of NCB Capital’s 27 mutual funds business until leaving NCBC in 2010. Upon joining SEDCO Capital Hasan was also appointed as Chairman of SEDCO Capital Investment Committee, Chairman of SEDCO Capital Global Funds and Chairman of SEDCO Capital Luxembourg Boards. Mr. Al Jabri was the Chairman for the World Presidents Organization’s Chapter in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is also currently serving as a member of boards and executive committees of several companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Al Jabri has a B.Sc. in Engineering from the American University of Beirut and is a graduate of the Executive Management Program at Columbia University.

Tharwat Amer

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Amer brings to the Group over 22 years of experience in corporate finance, investment management, and financial management across multiple industries. He started his career with a CPA from Chicago and worked for the global firms PWC and IBM. Prior to joining SEDCO, he was the Group CFO and member of the board and audit committees for a number of companies. He is a founding executive team member of Jadwa Investment and served as a CFO for 8 years. In Jadwa, he oversaw the establishment and growth of Jadwa from a small startup and into a regional Private Equity and Asset Management powerhouse. Mr. Amer holds an MBA from Strayer University in the USA with significant post graduate studies in the fields of e-commerce, strategy, and leadership from world class institutions. He has completed an executive Leadership Program at Stanford University. He is a CFA Charter holder (2004), and a Certified Public Accountant (1996).

Abdullah Al-Haiqi

Vice-President, Internal Audit

Mr. Al-Haiqi has been a part of the SEDCO Holding team since 2005, and has over 21 years of experience in accounting, auditing, Saudi tax and Zakat. Prior to his move to SEDCO Holding, he has worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Saudi Arabia in assurance, Zakat and tax services. Mr. Al-Haiqi sits on the Board of Tazweid Skills Company. He is also a member of the Risk and Compliance Committee of SEDCO Capital. He holds a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from King Abdulaziz University and is an Associate Member of the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors. He is also a licensed Zakat and income tax consultant.

Rami Bazzi

Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Bazzi brings to the Group more than 20 years of experience in investments and strategy accrued at several international and regional reputable organizations. Mr. Bazzi started his career with the Royal Bank of Canada, followed by stints at Deloitte Consulting, Litat Group, and Injazat Capital, where he assumed senior executive roles. His extensive investment experience covers sectors such as healthcare, petrochemicals, ICT, retail, financial services, real estate, and hospitality. Mr. Bazzi returns to the Group from the Zubair Corporation, where he worked as Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for the Group’s investment activities. Mr. Bazzi holds an MBA and MSc in Finance from Concordia University in Canada. He has also earned a BSc in Computer Science from the Lebanese American University in Lebanon. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and a Certified Professional Director by the Mudara Institute of Directors.

Dr. Zaid Mahayani

Senior Vice President Legal

Dr. Zaid qualified as a lawyer in Quebec in 2002, and has been working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Law (in French) from the University of Montreal (Canada), a Master’s degree in Petroleum Law from the University of Dundee (UK), and a PhD on Saudi Arabian capital market regulation from the University of Leicester (UK). Dr. Zaid has been a registered arbitrator with the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Justice since 2008 and also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the Queen Mary University of London (UK). He has teaching experience at university level as an assistant professor, and has published numerous articles on Saudi Arabian legislation.

Amro Kandil

Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Mr. Kandil has been with SEDCO Holding since 2010, having previously worked in Procter & Gamble for over 20 years. He also sits on the board of Bonnon. ‪ He commenced his HR career in 2001, and has served as Senior HR Manager before assuming his current post. At Procter & Gamble, Mr. Kandil gained experience in manufacturing, engineering, planning, procurement and SAP before moving to HR. There, he developed expertise in areas such as organizational excellence, talent development, talent supply, compensation, and employee services. Mr. Kandil graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering from King Saud University in 1990.

Mamdouh Khawaji

Senior Vice President, Information Technology

Mr. Khawaji joined SEDCO Holding in 2007, bringing with him extensive experience in information technology and leadership. Prior to his move, he spent seven years at IBM’s Toronto Lab in Ontario, where he was a software architect with a global team that delivered WebSphere Commerce. He was previously a principal consultant at Oracle in Canada, after having commenced his career with Saudi Aramco as database designer and administrator. Mr. Khawaji sits on the board of Ejada Company. He graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and holds an Executive MBA from IE, Madrid, in Spain.

Amr Banaja

Senior Vice President, Marketing & Corporate Responsibility

Amr Banaja heads SEDCO Holding Group’s marketing, corporate communications and CSR programs. His remit includes the Riyali Financial Literacy Program that seeks to reach 2 million young Saudis by 2020. Mr. Banaja joined SEDCO Holding in 2011, transferring over from SEDCO Development where he was the VP of Marketing. He also sits on the board of TARFEEH. Prior to his experience with SEDCO companies, Mr. Banaja partnered with New York-based real estate service provider Seventh Art Group to launch its Dubai office, and also successfully led a number of projects. He has had a diverse career across sectors including real estate, financial services and consumer goods, with earlier GCC-wide experience including positions at SAMA Dubai, the National Commercial Bank (Investor Services Division), Unilever, and Gillette. Mr. Banaja is a BA graduate from Boston College in the USA, where he majored in Economics with a minor in Mathematics.

Dr. Wael Eid

Senior Vice President, Risk

Dr. Eid chairs the Risk Management Committee at SEDCO Holding, advising the CEO and Board on various aspects of risk. He also sits on the Board of Tazweid Skills Company. He is a risk specialist in Islamic banking who holds an MBA with Distinction from Warwick Business School, and a PhD in risk management from Durham University. Dr. Eid began his professional risk career at the Commercial International Bank in Egypt. He then completed his MBA after being awarded the British Chevening Scholarship. He was also deeply involved in setting up the risk function at the European Islamic Investment Bank Plc. in London. He has extensive experience in risk management and Islamic banking in the Middle East and Europe. Areas of specific expertise include investment and market risks, financial analysis, financial regulation, and capital adequacy standards. Dr. Eid is a guest lecturer at distinguished universities in Islamic finance, and also speaks regularly at international risk management events and conferences.

Mohammed Bahamdein

Section Head Lands

Mr. Mohammed Bahamdein heads the Land Management department at SEDCO Holding, where he helps shape the Group’s real estate investment policy and positions the organization abreast of market movements. He brings over 15 years of experience in real estate investment development, marketing, investments and endowments to his role. Prior to joining the SEDCO Holding team, he has served with organizations including the Savola Group and the Naghi Group where he helped managed residential and commercial real estate portfolios. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management from the University of San Diego in California.

Compensation and Nomination Committee

Responsible for compensation, oversight of human development, screening and nomination of directors of SEDCO Holding and its subsidiaries.

Audit and Risk Committee

Assists the Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities in the areas of: financial reporting integrity; effectiveness of internal controls for financial reporting; surveillance of administration and financial practices; SEDCO Group’s compliance with group policies and procedures; legal and regulatory requirements; ensuring independence and monitoring performance of external auditors, internal audit function; and risk management.
