Our ethical investment strategy sees us target industries that create value for all stakeholders, and avoid products and services that can be deemed harmful to society – such as tobacco, gambling and alcohol. Our approach sees us avoid high-volatility assets to focus on long-term sustainable growth. We also avoid practices such as shorting, where returns are generated based on others’ losses. We believe that the most sustainable returns come from investments that add value to entire economies.

Our SEDCO Capital subsidiary, which is a world-class asset manager, follows the Prudent Ethical Investing (PEI) model. The firm is the world’s first Shariah-complaint asset manager, and also the very first Saudi Arabian firm, to sign up to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investing (UNPRI).
