Riyali, SEDCO’s leading financial literacy program, has partnered with the second edition of Attliq, the pre-accelerator program that trains and supports entrepreneurs in developing functional and viable ideas across key economic sectors.
Through its Riyali program, SEDCO Holding is taking on the role of main partner, furthering the Group’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and sparking innovation that creates economic and social value. SEDCO Holding’s support for Attliq is also in line with the Saudi Vision 2030’s aim of empowering entrepreneurs, boosting their skills, and developing their technical and financial capabilities.
With the active participation of SEDCO Holding, Attliq’s second round will empower 50 budding entrepreneurs with the skills needed to develop ideas, budget for them, and evolve them towards becoming viable market propositions.
For Attliq’s second round, all registrants must enroll in, and successfully clear, the Rowad Riyali program. Rowad Riyali is Riyali’s Arabic financial literacy program designed for entrepreneurs, helping them understand how to manage budgets, cash flows and bookkeeping for new business ideas. After graduating from Rowad Riyali, registrants will have the foundational financial management skills needed to successfully participate in the pre-accelerator program.
Attliq creates a supportive system for digital entrepreneurship to stimulate innovation, turn ideas into prototypes and then transform these prototypes to market startups. The pre-accelerator program targets the healthcare, education, fintech, logistics, urban technology, entertainment, tourism and art sectors — with a particular focus on ideas involving AI, big data and SaaS. Through specialized support programs, Attliq reduces the total time and cost of launching new businesses, while ensuring that entrepreneurs have access to the basic skills needed to develop their ideas and take them to market.
The pre-accelerator program is held in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA), and main partner SEDCO Holding. It is implemented by Startups House, with the support of the Majid for Community Development, Nesma Holding, and EY Saudi Arabia.
Rowad Riyali, meanwhile, is an extension of the Riyali Financial Literacy Program, one SEDCO Holding’s most important social initiatives. It aims to enhance financial literacy among multiple segments of society, develop their money management skills and give them the to face their financial responsibilities for a better life. Riyali is accredited by the Ministry of Education in schools and universities, and has signed strategic support agreements with organizations including the Saudi British Bank (SABB).
