SAR 400,000 offered in prizes for elementary, middle and high school students
Riyali, SEDCO’s leading financial literacy program, in partnership with the Ministry of Education has launched its nationwide online financial literacy competition which is the largest one in the Kingdom. The competition will be held between March and April 2021, and aims to enhance financial literacy and train students in effective money management.
The competition, with total prize money of SAR 400,000, is open to elementary school students aged between 9-12, middle school students between 13-16 years of age, and high school students from 16-19 years old. , as well as Riyali Ambassadors. It comprises three stages. In the first step, participants will be asked to familiarize themselves with the financial literacy content on the Riyali website. Next, students will be given a set of challenges and tests around key financial literacy topics. Students who successfully navigate this stage will move to the final screening and nomination stage, where winners will be identified and awarded.
There is a special awards category for Riyali Ambassadors — teachers and educators who take the lead in encouraging student engagement with Riyali. The Ambassadors with the highest participation figures will be eligible for special awards. There are also prizes for the best educators. The top ten school departments most active in encouraging student participation and supporting their candidates will also be recognized.
Competition prizes fall into two categories. The top 100 winners will collectively win SAR 300,000. Meanwhile, the top 30 Riyali Ambassadors will receive SAR 100,000.

Riyali Financial Literacy Program is one of the most important CSR programs launched by SEDCO Holding. The program aims to promote financial literacy among different segments of society to develop their skills and equip them with the knowledge to carry out their financial responsibilities effectively. The program is accredited by the Ministry of Education in schools and universities and has several strategic agreements, most prominently with the Ministry of Education and the Saudi British Bank (SABB).
