Latest Riyali Financial Literacy Program Statistics Reveal more than 817 Thousand Beneficiaries in 4,057 Schools and Universities across 13 Cities in the Kingdom

SEDCO Holding revealed that Riyali Financial Literacy Program has reached more than 817 thousand beneficiaries in all its levels to date. A total of 362 thousand beneficiaries were reached through various Riyali platforms, while 455 thousand were reached through the partnership with the Ministry of Education in 4,057 schools and universities across 13 cities in the Kingdom with more than 4,000 teachers who actively contribute to the program’s success as program ambassadors.

Undersecretary of Education Performance at the Ministry of Education Dr. Eid bin Muhaya Al-Hessouni noted that the ministry’s interest in Riyali comes within the efforts of the ministry to meet the needs and demands of the educational landscape, the Education Performance agency implements several projects, activities, programs and initiatives based on the ministry’s policies, vision and future trends. He noted that the Riyali program has achieved great success through the fruitful collaboration with SEDCO Holding.

For his part, SEDCO Holding CEO Mr. Hassan Al Jabri noted: “Financial literacy is a fundamental pillar for learning sound financial habits and achieving financial dignity, and today the program has become a nationwide initiative that aims to promote financial literacy among the community and equip youth with the necessary financial knowledge to help realize the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 of a prosperous economy.”

Director of Programs and Student Training at the Ministry of Education Mr. Khalid bin Saleh Abdulsalam confirmed that Riyali aims to reach two million students by the end of 2020. The ministry implements the program over three school classes and the program ambassadors train at least 200 students within three weeks of obtaining the ambassador training course.

Abdulrahman Al-Turjuman, Marketing and CSR Department Head and General Supervisor of Riyali at SEDCO Holding noted: “We decided that Riyali will primarily adopt e-learning methods since they are the best way to offer the program’s content to beneficiaries alongside classroom education. We aim to expand the segment of beneficiaries and enhance our collaborations with our most significant partners, the Ministry of Education and the Saudi British Bank, among others. We hope to achieve our target of reaching two million beneficiaries by the end of 2020.”

Riyali Financial Literacy Program is one of the most important CSR programs launched by SEDCO Holding. The program aims to promote financial literacy among different societal segments to develop their skills and equip them with the knowledge to face their financial responsibilities for a better life. The program is accredited by the Ministry of Education in schools and universities and has several strategic agreements, most prominently with the Ministry of Education and the Saudi British Bank (SABB). Riyali has successfully reached more than 800 thousand beneficiaries and seeks to reach two million by the end of 2020.
