SEDCO Holding owns the Jeddah-based Yusr International Schools (YIS). Established in 2007, YIS is a private school brand catering to local and expatriate communities in Jeddah, and operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Education.

YIS is licensed to offer the American curriculum under Advanced – the largest community of education professionals in the world, which conducts rigorous on-site reviews of Pre-K-12 schools and school systems. Advanced has inspected and accredited YIS in 2012 and 2017 – both times with honors. YIS has also partnered with Cambridge University in the UK to offer ESOL, BULATS, and IMAT standardized tests

In response to the importance of education in the Kingdom Vision 2030, YIS has created its own 2020 vision for the brand’s development, expansion and professionalism. The schools are transiting to smart pedagogies and the latest educational techniques. YIS has also won the rights to follow the International Baccalaureate (IB) system of education, providing students with a variety of globally compatible education streams delivered to world-class standards.
