SEDCO Holding has been honored with the National Award for Volunteer Work 2023 in the ‘Empowerment in volunteering”category. The award was presented by His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, during the Saudi and International Volunteer Day activities organized by the Ministry’s General Administration of Volunteering.
The event, attended by a number of ministers, senior officials, several esteemed representatives of government and non-profit sectors, and volunteering enthusiasts, also saw the Salem Bin Mahfouz Foundation win the Award of Financial Support for the second consecutive year.
Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Turjuman, Vice President of Corporate Communications and Sustainability at SEDCO Holding, received the award and expressed his appreciation to His Excellency Eng. Al-Rajhi for sponsoring the award. He highlighted the award as an effective tool to motivate and inspire individuals across different sectors in the Kingdom.
SEDCO’s Badir volunteering program aims to enrich and enhance the concepts of community participation among the youth by inviting them to participate in public and professional volunteering work and adopt social entrepreneurship projects. The program has exceeded its expected goals by 162%, reaching about 140,000 beneficiaries across Saudi Arabia. SEDCO Holding employees have contributed more than S.R. 1.1 million during the past three years.
