• Saleh Salem Bin Mahfouz


    In addition to chairing SEDCO Holding Group’s Board,  Mr. Saleh Bin Mahfouz is Chairman of SEDCO Development, Nahdi Medical Company, Al Mahmal Real Estate Development Company, Al Mahmal Trading Company,  and Red Sea Markets Company. He also chairs the Board’s Investment Committee and serves on the boards of  Al-Balad Al Ameen for Development and Urban Recreation, Alnumu Real Estate, and Yanbu Cement.


    Mr. Saleh graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum  and Minerals in Dhahran.

  • Abdelelah Salem Bin Mahfouz


    Mr. Abdelelah Bin Mahfouz was Managing Director  of SEDCO Financial Investments Group from  1997 to 2006. In addition to serving on the Board  of SEDCO Holding Group, he has been Chairman  of SEDCO Capital since its formation in 2010.


    He began his business career in 1975 with the National Commercial Bank, and from 1980-90 was the bank’s Deputy General Manager and the Riyadh Regional Manager.


    Mr. Abdelelah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University.

  • Ahmed Salem Bin Mahfouz


    Mr. Ahmed Bin Mahfouz began his career with SEDCO  in 1983, serving as Managing Director of the Direct Investments Group between 1997 and 2004.


    He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah and is also a graduate  of the Owner/President Management Program  at Harvard Business School.

  • Ahmed Sulaiman Banaja


    Mr. Ahmed Suleiman Banaja has been a Member of  the Board at SEDCO Holding Group since 2008. He is a Director of SEDCO Capital, and was the company’s first  CEO, overseeing its formation in 2010. He has also served  as the CEO of SEDCO between 2008 and 2010.


    He began his career with Citibank in 1971, and has held  senior positions at the National Commercial Bank for 12 years. He has also served as Executive Vice President of Olayan Group, and Board Member of many of the Group’s subsidiaries. Mr. Banaja’s track record includes him serving as Chairman of the publicly listed National Shipping Company, and as a member of the Economic Advisory Board to the Supreme Economic Council for the Saudi Government.


    He is currently a Director of Al Faisaliah Group and has  since 2014 returned to the Board of Directors at the SABB, formerly the Saudi British Bank.  He is also Chairman  of the bank’s Audit Committee.


    Mr. Banaja has a BSc in Mathematics and Economics  from the University of Kent.

  • Shuaib Ahmed


    Mr. Ahmed has been a Director of SEDCO since 2000.  He served as the first non-family CEO of SEDCO from 2004 to 2007. Before joining SEDCO, Mr. Ahmed was at Citibank for 38 years in various senior risk and general management positions in Asia, Europe, and the USA. From 1985 to 2000, he was a member of Citibank’s Global Credit Policy Committee and from 2001-03 was a Managing Director of Citigroup’s Global Risk Management. Mr. Ahmed is a Director of Elaf Group and serves on the Board of Governors of the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi. He holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, and a Master’s degree in Management Science from MIT.  He is also a Sloan Fellow of MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

  • Savio Tung


    Mr. Tung has been a Non-Executive Director of SEDCO since 2009, where he currently chairs the Audit and Risk Committee. He is one of the founding partners of Investcorp, where he currently serves as Chief Investment Officer. He has been involved with most of Investcorp’s corporate buyouts during his 30 years with the firm.


    Before joining Investcorp, he worked with Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, and London.  Mr. Tung is also on the Board of Tech Data Corporation  and is an independent non-executive Director of Bank  of China, Hong Kong.


    Mr. Tung holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from  Columbia University, of which he is a trustee emeritus.

  • Dr. Abdulraouf Mohammad A. Mannaa


    Dr. Mannaa has more than 25 years of experience in the Middle East and the GCC markets. He has played a prominent role as a business consultant of a group operating in diversified leading sectors, and contributed to the establishment of new businesses through a number of mergers, acquisitions and partnerships.


    Dr. Mannaa carries a profound knowledge of the Middle East business landscape and maintains a rich network of contacts of stature in both the public and private sectors as well as in the banking sphere.


    Dr. Manaa spearheaded the Savola Group which has become one of the most successful and reputable publicly listed enterprises in the Middle East, with operations encompassing KSA, Egypt, Iran, Algeria, Morocco and Sudan. During his time as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Savola, the Group achieved top and bottom lines’ growth year-on-year, tripling the value of shareholders’ interests and doubling the dividends payout.


    He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle (1982), a Masters in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (1977) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals (1974).

  • Murray E. Hennessy


    Mr. Hennessy has over 25 years of extensive experience and expert knowledge in the fields of marketing and investment, capped by a number of positions as Chairman or Director of several boards as well as CEO of Ltd, CEO of Avis Europe PLC and CEO of LTD (UK). Mr. Hennessy holds an MBA from Harvard Business School (1989) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Williams College (1984). Due to his versatility in languages, he can proudly be called a polyglot.
